A travel startup that works differently

Johannes has always been enthusiastic about traveling: down the Danube on a paddle boat, from Cape Town to Cairo by bus and truck. That's how he came up with the idea for by the ways while on a road trip with his family. Johannes also studied computer science and gained experience as a programmer to get by the ways off the ground.

After many years as a marketing & brand manager in a successful Berlin start-up, she has now taken the step herself and by the ways co-founded. In addition to her specialty in marketing, she collects user feedback and turns it into cool new features. Her best trips so far: hiking in Georgia, sailing in Mallorca and a road trip through Germany.

Whether hiking in the Himalayas or a winter road trip in Iceland, Veronika loves special trips. Even as a designer, she likes to leave the usual paths. She has a lot of creative ideas and sets our visual direction. With her UX skills, she ensures that the app is not only easy to use, but also inspires users.

With an off-road vehicle through Australia and Iceland, with a motorcycle through Cambodia and Vietnam — Jannes is a road trip fan through and through. On his tours, he likes to discover lesser-known places. Professionally, he is primarily active in the startup world. Having already founded a company, he is now shaking up the travel industry with by the ways.
